Everything You Need to Know About Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Collection
DateSeptember 11, 2017
It’s here. The beauty line that we’ve all been waiting for. Rihanna had teased her makeup collection, Fenty Beauty, back in 2015 and didn’t give many details until maybe a week before the launch date. With a diverse campaign video featuring all our favorite models and faces, all we could tell was that we wanted whatever gold highlight they had on.
The collection definitely has lived up to its hype. With 40 foundations, 33 match stix made up of a mixture of concealers, contour, and highlight, six compacts of highlight, five brushes, one blending brush, blotting paper, translucent powder, primer, and a universal lip gloss- Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has made its mark on the beauty industry. The entire line dropped around the world in 17 countries and 1,600 stores including Sephora, Harvey Nichols, and the Fenty Beauty online website. Rihanna doesn’t do subtle.
One of the standout products in the line is the Pro Filt’r Foundation that retails for $34 USD. First off, it comes in 40 different shades so that women of every color can wear it. That already says what Ri wanted to achieve with this line- to create something “so that women everywhere would be included.” The foundation mattifies the skin, diffuses the pores and is medium to full coverage.
Other notable products include the Match Stix ($25 USD). The packaging is magnetic so once you have more than one- you won’t lose them. The Match Stix can highlight, contour, correct, conceal, or be worn as eyeshadows. Speaking of highlight- let’s not forget the Killawatt compact. Packed with pigment, these are meant to bring out the bad gal in all of us and help us glow, baby glow. The Killawatt compacts can either come in a duo or stand alone and retail for $34 USD. Rihanna herself wore the shade “Trophy Wife” for her launch party and now we want to bathe in it.
Gloss Bomb ($18 USD) only appears in one color, a universal rose nude shade. This gloss is the perfect finishing touch for anyone trying to achieve a super shiny lip- and it’s not sticky. Rihanna has provided all of the products that one would need for a full face with Fenty Beauty and we can’t wait to see how this line evolves.
