‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Finally Gets a Premiere Date
DateMarch 10, 2017
Winter is coming – HBO has finally released the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere date. The good news is you have until July 16 to binge-watch the last six seasons. The bad news is you have to wait until July 16 to watch the new season. The suspense!
To break the news, GOT took to Facebook Live and streamed a melting ice block powered by “fire” comments sent by fans. There were a few glitches, but eventually the ice block revealed the big date. July is unusually later compared to previous seasons but poor weather conditions delayed filming, thus pushing the premiere back.
The penultimate season will include 13 episodes broken up into two shorter seasons. The seventh season will have seven episodes, and the eighth will have only six. The teaser video, which you can watch below, was viewed more than 20 million times since its launch. It features an audio montage of some of the show’s most important events, like the Mad King’s reign, the Red Wedding, Cersei Lannister taking the iron throne, and new Jon Snow dialogue warning about a great war.
What are you waiting for? Watch now!
