Glossier Is Bringing 282 New Jobs to New York City

New York-based beauty brand, Glossier has announced their plans to create 282 new jobs in the New York City area and expansion into their new HQ on 6th Avenue. In a press release today, New York City Governor Andrew Cuomo announced “…Empire State Development is giving [Glossier] $3 million in performance-based tax credits through the Excelsior Jobs Program.”

Glossier’s expansion will mean more products as they plan to build up several aspects of their brand, including marketing, finance, and operations. Founder Emily Weiss shares that they plan to fund brick-and-motar retail and also plan to ship internationally.

From beauty blog to New York City beauty name, Weiss states, “We are incredibly excited to continue building a team in downtown New York City who will work to further Glossier’s mission of empowering women to feel proud of who they are today.”
