MISSBISH Editorial 005 Heads to South Africa with Photographer and Stylist Sabrina Scott
DateAugust 26, 2016
For the latest MISSBISH editorial, we head to South Africa with photographer, stylist and graphic designer Sabrina Scott to explore all the vibrant colors that Cape Town has to offer! It’s always amazing to see a photographer who is able to play the role as shooter and stylist, and Sabrina does this effortlessly!
Sabrina styled model Caitlin Lamb of ICE Models in two outfits that incorporated stripes, subtle tones and a bold mixing of patterns that are perfect for the hot August months of summer. In the first outfit, she styled the model in a black and white striped top and blue trousers, both from Zara, and slides from adidas. The next outfit, a white striped shirt from Zara, a skirt from Topshop and shoes from Converse. Sabrina gave some great tips on other ways to style pieces and also dishes on her inspiration for the shoot. Read the interview below!
What inspired you to style this outfit?
I styled Caitlin in two stripe on stripe looks with pieces from Zara and Topshop. My personal style has become very simple and a bit monotonous; color scares me and patterns even more so. I wanted to challenge myself and face my fear of styling both color and pattern.
What are other alternative ways this outfit can be styled?
I love the blue trousers in the first look! You could swop out the top for a casual white shirt and change the slides to sneakers for a 9-5 option. The skirt in the second look is my favourite. The yellow stripe fits so well with the yellow detail in the top, but you could easily pair the skirt with a blue top that matched the blue in the skirt. I would try a tighter fitting top and channel a sporty vibe.
