Sweat With Us to the MISSBISH Twerkout Playlist
DateJuly 13, 2017
We all need a little boost during our workout sometimes — for many of us, most of the time — and you would be surprised at how much a playlist full of bangers help. Here at MISSBISH, we’ve curated a Twerkout playlist of some of our favorite songs to listen to while getting fit and hopefully, you can grab some inspo for your next gym sesh. Listen to the playlist and check out why we love the songs below!
I’m all about the squats! So naturally, my gym playlist has a ton of songs referencing butts. My favs are “Dance (A$$)” by Big Sean and “Bubble Butt” by Major Lazer. #SQUATGOALS
Nicole – @nic0lefung
When I’m in the gym, it’s usually on the basketball court shooting so any tempo song works for me; it really depends on what mood I’m in! Some songs that have been on repeat are “Too Fast” by Sonder, “The Lung” by Hiatus Kaiyote, and “Biking (Solo)” by Frank Ocean.
Christina – @cxchoi
I’m always trying to build a booty, so I think it’s pretty self-explanatory why my go-to song is Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up.” It makes me feel confident and the beat is everything. This song came out when I was like seven, so it brings back the nostalgia of how hyped I got when it came on the radio. When doing cardio, I like to switch it up to Pop-Punk and listen to songs like A Day To Remember’s “The Downfall of Us All.” High school Monica would be proud that I’m *moshing in my head* at the gym.
Monica – @monicasauce
I use the word “workout” very loosely here, but if I want to dance crazy in my house when no one is looking — and if it just so happens to burn extra calories — then I always put on the extended mix of “Get Me Bodied.” It’s such a fun song, and if the beat doesn’t get you moving then I can’t talk to you. LOL.
Sarah – @modarexic
When I work out, the music is usually at the mercy of my instructor because I generally always take classes. But, if I’m home and doing some circuit training on my own, I’ll probably turn on “Young and Aspiring” by Underoath (#emoforever). I guess the screaming makes me work harder.
Jana K. Hoffman – @janaisajournalist
When I work out I’ll usually listen to some Hip Hop or Grime to get me going, as I am usually in the weights section. Currently, J HUS’ “Spirit” gets me moving, or Desiigner’s “Panda.”
Nav – @nav_x
I need some motivational, get-it-done type of songs blasting when I’m working out. The top songs in the rotation right now are Ptaf’s “Boss Ass B*tch” and Nicki Minaj’s “Beez In The Trap.” They keep me pumped up and I feel strong and powerful afterward.
Marguerite – @margueritebb
When I work out I typically blast Hip-Hop/Rap so Ye, Travis Scott, Kendrick, ScHoolboy Q, or anyone of the sort are on my playlist. I tend to do cardio most of the time so nothing gets me going like the first drops on Kanye’s, “Blood On The Leaves,” Kendrick’s “HUMBLE,” and YG’s “Left, Right.”
Serina – @ser1naguerrero
When I workout I’ll usually listen to Hip Hop or embarrassingly trap-y EDM — I can’t lie, it gets me moving. I recently discovered “9 (After Coachella)” by Cashmere Cat on Spotify and immediately added it to my workout playlist. It’s a little weird but it works!
Kristen – @kriscloud
I need anything that is going to make me feel like a boss b*tch, and is super loud and extra because that is probably what makes me confident enough to attempt to work out. My playlist includes “Gotta Get Thru This” by Daniel Bedingfield, “Drum Machine” by FTSE, “212” by Azealia Banks, “Childs Play” by Drake, and anything by DJ Khaled because “they” don’t want you to win!
Bodeline – @boduhlean
I have an almost sick obsession with Majid Jordan and they are always my go-to when I’m at the gym sweating away. Some of my favorite songs are “A Place Like This,” “Her,” “Something About You,” and “Phases.”
Angela – @angf_
If I’m being honest, my workouts are generally just going for a run, and I listen to Hip-Hop/Rap pretty much exclusively. So, some of the most “motivational” songs on my running playlist are YG’s “I Just Wanna Party,” ScHoolboy Q’s “Collard Greens,” Mistah F.A.B.’s “Kicked Out The Club,” and J HUS’ “Did You See.”
Zenna – @pbr.mami
My workouts usually consist of HIIT and booty workouts so I love bumpin’ anything upbeat. I tend to gravitate towards mixes so I don’t have to keep touching my phone to change the song in the middle of my workout. CAL-A’s It’s Lit 2 and 4 are two of my favorite mixes to sweat to.
Daisy – @pyodaisy
I am one hell of a Pharrell fan and that includes songs he’s produced. If I workout, I like to listen to songs that get me HYPED. A song that combines those two things together is “Pass The Courvoisier” by Busta Rhymes. It’s one of those songs that is already interactive so playing it during a workout is even better! It also has good BPM for a highly motivated workout.
