NYC pays homage to one of rap’s legends, Tupac, with the opening of a pop-up shop based on a restaurant concept called Powamekka Café, which the rapper wrote about in his personal notebook 21 years ago.

The pop-up will be held at famous southern restaurant Sweet Chick in the Lower East Side. Not only will the menu feature some of Pac’s favorite dishes – gumbo, meatloaf, his cousin Jamala’s fried chicken and more – the spot will also be decked out with photos from his childhood, poetry, and a line of merchandise available for fans to buy. If you’re in NYC between April 7-9, be sure to stop by and check it out!
