Antony Vaccarello Debuts Impressive & Bold Saint Laurent Spring 2017 Collection
Saint Laurent's creative director Anthony Vaccarello put on a good show for the fashion house's upcoming Spring 2017 collection. The badas* collection took us back to Yves Saint Laurent's 1982 collection, where a black leather version of a puffed-shoulder dress opened the show. In the breathtaking surroundings of an old palace building site, which was formally a monastery, a military headquarters, and now Saint Laurent's official headquarters.
Embracing the ’80s isn't a risk for Vaccarello, as his own sharp looks have always embraced that era. He teased it with bustier leather or velvet tops, pelmet skirts and boyfriend jeans, a collection completely devoted to draped gold lamé, skinny suits, and a compilation of one-sleeved dresses.
