Chanel’s Spring 2017 campaign takes a walk on the wild side.
A clear departure from the brand’s typical prim and proper aesthetic, the campaign features cyber-punk looks that seemingly borrow from the 80s and 90s. Karl Lagerfeld is once again the photographer behind the shoot.
Like Dolce & Gabbana’s latest campaign, Chanel has also chosen to leverage millennial trends. The digital era is a prominent theme and goes so far as to include robot masks. Always a brand to take risks, it’s worth noting the questionable hair and beauty choices, like thinly arched pencil eyebrows, Bantu knots, and - unfortunately - cornrows.
