Forbes recently published a report on the growing cannabis edibles industry and determined that it’s the next big thing for cannabis entrepreneurs. Although California is said to be one of the biggest growth potential areas with nearly $180 million worth of sales going just toward edibles, entrepreneurs in other states that have legalized marijuana certainly stand to profit.
In Washington, edible sales increased 121 percent last year. Colorado came in at $53 million in edibles sales in the third quarter of 2016. Reason for this? It’s believed that edibles are reaching consumers who are interested in trying cannabis but not necessarily wanting to smoke it, providing them with a discreet experience free of the smoke and smells.
We’re all for it!
