In less than a year since Instagram has launched its Stories, there are already over 200 million people using it for their viewing pleasure. As Snapchat recently launched a new version of its stories feature, Instagram has also released two new types of Stories this past Tuesday - Location Stories and Hashtag Stories.
Similar to Snapchat's location-based stories, Instagram will now allow users to search any city, landmark, or business, and watch a Story using the same location sticker.
Hashtag Stories will combine the Stories of those who use the same hashtag. Both Story features will be personalized based on the user's interest and app habits (accounts you frequently interact with, who you're following, etc.). If you're concerned about your privacy, don't fret, Stories of users with private accounts will only appear to their followers.
How will you be using this new feature?
