Iris Apfel has accomplished more than one could possibly imagine. Taking on the roles of businesswoman, interior designer, university professor, and major fashion influencer, Apfel has worked on campaigns for Alexis Bittar, Elizabeth Arden, and Kate Spade. She's collaborated with wearable tech companies, and she's been featured in an exhibit at Le Bon Marché in Paris, and in an Albert Maysles documentary about her life.
And at 94 years of age, she shows no signs of stopping with her latest project: a collaboration with Macy's-owned I.N.C International Concepts. Set to launch in September, the "Iris meets INC" collection features a lookbook of Iris' must-have pieces, a line of Apfel-curated jewelry, and a campaign that comes with a keyboard of Iris Apfel emojis. Now, Apfel is not all that tech-savvy herself (no official Instagram or Snapchat, sadly); she notes that "For [her] it’s rather silly, but it’s generational, so if it makes the kids happy, then... it's not the most awful thing."
