Though decades apart in age, Lana Del Rey and Courtney Love share a lot of similarities, made evident in a recent interview for Dazed. Del Rey and Love toured together for seven shows two summers ago, and the pair hit it off. They discuss their influences, their music, and the talented industry experts they've worked with.
"I think we had that in common. It was about wanting to go to shows, wanting to have your own show – living, breathing, eating, all of it," Del Rey tells Love. She goes on to explain how she began playing music, admitting to Love she wishes she'd started in LA instead of New York. "L.A has always been the epicenter of music, I feel," Del Rey says.
Del Rey and Love share similar opinions on sound mixing, icons, and even travel tastes, both saying that they plan on moving to London eventually. Though both artists are from different eras, they're surprisingly alike; writing about Hollywood, mainstream acceptance, and men. Essentially, both women are representative of their generations -- Love of the 90's, and Del Rey of present day.
