Nike teamed up with the mindfulness app Headspace to develop a new way for runners to meditate with a thoughtful helper.

Audio-guided runs (AGRs) are not something new for Nike's app Nike+ Run Club, but the brand is taking a new step into wellness by introducing it as the world's first audio-guided mindful runs. The new mindfulness guides aim to help the runner find inner strength and peace throughout the course of the workout in comparison to the prior direction of experts and coaches sharing tips to improve form, stamina, and speed through their narration.

Chris Bennett, global head coach of Nike Running, shares, “When we are running mindfully, we are actively creating the conditions for that sense of flow, meaning everything is enhanced, from technique and motivation to focus and recovery.”

He hopes that by the end of the runs, the athlete has learned about themselves as a runner and that mindfulness can bridge the gap between runners and their ambitions.
