“At Nike, our goal is to make people better athletes,” states Nike Master Trainer and yogi Branden Collinsworth. “That’s why we create programming that prepares you for whatever life has to throw at you.”
Collinsworth, alongside fellow Master Trainers and yogis Traci Copeland and Leah Kim, helped to develop all of the yoga routines. Each workout falls under one of three pillars: endurance (flows that help to build stamina); strength (flows that hold poses longer to increase muscle strength); and mobility (restorative sessions that release tension and help you mentally recharge). The app hopes to integrate yoga as a part of users' fitness routines, rather than have it be a last minute resort on what would otherwise be an off day.
While a few of the new yoga workouts are available now on the app, four more workouts will be added on June 28 with another 10 rolling out between July and September.
