Rihanna and her Clara Lionel Foundation visited Malawi with Global Citizen and the Global Partnership for Education earlier this year. Through a new short documentary, the famed pop star and GPE ambassador expresses interest in the African nation and the educational challenges that it faces, including a lack of resources which leads to a numerous amount of children dropping out after primary school.
Rihanna helps teach students math while also sitting down with community members and global figures alike, all who are working together to help end poverty around the world and raise money for those efforts. "It's such a pity that they have to drop out because they are so smart," Rihanna says. "It's sad that it has to end for some of them because they could probably do so much if they had the resources to continue and complete."
