Every last detail at Chanel's Couture Fall 2017 show in Paris was finished with an elegant twist - right down to the models' hair.

Though many of the models wore French-style hats, hairstylist Sam McKnight made sure to showcase the models' hair anyway. He created long, looped ponytails secured with hairnets, which lay perfectly underneath the sophisticated headwear. "I just didn't want to do an ordinary ponytail under the hats, so we did a double twisted version that we covered in a fine net, almost like a snood," McKnight told allure.

Other noteworthy moments at the show include an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower's base as part of the set, and Karl Lagerfeld receiving the key to the city from the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.
