Spoiled Like Crazy at the ZOEasis in Palm Springs
04.17 / Lifestyle
ZOEasis couldn't have had a better name, and I'll tell you why. I was one of the geniuses who thought it would be amazing to walk from one event to the other on a sunny, blazing Saturday afternoon in Palm Springs – a.k.a. the damn desert. "It's just a quick walk,” I convinced myself, “I’m a city girl, I can do this.” What I quickly learned is that eight minutes in 95° weather can feel like one hour. I needed water. I needed a place to gain back my energy, and right before I gave up, I spotted it – The Zoe Report’s third annual music festival retreat, ZOEasis. Yassss. Welcome me in, Rachel and friends. I’m all yours!
I was greeted by smiling faces, the live sounds of The Aces and a lush retreat nestled off the beaten path that I would call home for the next couple of hours. Surrounding me was a pamper fest full of luxurious SK-II® facials, manicures care of NCLA, sexy eyelash extensions by Iris & West Lash Co., and hair magic being worked by BeGlammed. Ms. Zoe was literally serving up a spa for her guests, and it was extremely appreciated.
There were tempting treats everywhere I turned. Pazzo Gelato left me indecisive with their way-too- good flavors (I went with Nutella in the end), and teebsie’s refreshing pineapple/kale/mint popsicle actually made me forget about the gnarly heat for a minute. Once I felt replenished and human again, I took a stroll around. MCM’s spring line had me gasping from cuteness (it’s adorned with bunnies!). Miansai was handcrafting personalized bangles for the lucky early birds (remember, I got lost in the desert, so I came a bit late), and the SS17 Rachel Zoe Collection was on display, including a floral, shimmering, shoulder-cut dress that Zoe herself was rocking.
I wasn’t the only one taking full advantage of the spoiling going on. Kate Bosworth, dressed in white, made a stop at the SK-II® station while Chanel Iman came festival-ready in an embroidered number and colorful braids. Jamie Chung couldn’t resist the photo-op of a vintage pink scooter, much like a handful of other guests. Louise Roe, Danielle Bernstein, Rocky Barnes, and May Kwok all swung by to score shade under parasols and personalized straw hats, and completely indulged in the sanctuary. Amidst the craziness of Palm Springs á la festival weekend, ZOEasis gave us life while we shut out the rest of the world for the afternoon. But, don’t get too crazy, we still had wifi. I mean, how else would we brag to our friends than via Instagram Stories?
