It's that time of the year again! Alexander Wang slayed his Spring 2017 runway show at NYFW! Known for his experimental and rebellious attitude in fashion design, Wang always brings his A-game on the runway.
The show started off with flashing lights and Princess Nokia's track, "Tomboy." Wang's backstage name for the show, "50 Shades of Grey meets Lords of Dogtown," consisted of deconstructed basics, lace, bra tops, bathrobe coats, pinstriped tailoring, board shorts, and ripped denim.
The show ended with a preview of Wang's collaboration with adidas. The #WangSquad stormed the stage wearing iconic adidas matching black tees, sweatshirts, hoodies and tearaway pants featuring the sportswear brand's three stripes and inverted logo. Wang explains, "I looked at what’s theirs, what they own, and I flipped it, literally and aesthetically."
