Sydney-Based Restaurant, The Carter Is Inspired by Jay Z & Beyoncé
Ever wanted to sip a "Kimye" while feasting on Obama fried chicken and waffles? We aren't too sure either, but these are just some of the menu choices you can expect at The Carter - a new restaurant, bar, and nightclub in Sydney, Australia based on our favorite iconic couple - Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
According to the restaurant's manager, Chady Khouzame, the idea to open a restaurant based on the celebrities was that, "Jay-Z and Beyoncé have always been at the center of controversy, which is what inspired our hidden messages in the artwork surrounding the bar and the murals on the wall in the basement."
The Carter, which opened to the public at the end of February, is decked out with murals of Queen Bey and her mogul partner Jay throughout their downstairs lounge space. The first floor of the restaurant is inspired by the couple as well, following an art-deco theme that resembles Jay's bar franchise, the 40/40 Club.
Continuing on with the celebrity theme, the menu includes options like Nas sticky lamb ribs and a Biggie T-bone steak. Patrons can also get a Snoop Lion cocktail to go with their meal. So far, reviews from guests are pretty good and the restaurant has seen some celebrity faces like Adele's band, Eric Andre, and Rosario Dawson. Check it out for yourself down below!
