Let's be real. The biggest struggle when you're at the gym most likely isn't the workout itself- it's keeping a hairstyle that won't give up on you before your muscles do. The last thing you need while you're in the zone is dealing with those pesky fly-aways. And sorry, but the classic ponytail just doesn't cut it here. The solution? A simple faux fishtail braid that won't have you checking in the mirror constantly. According to Justine Marjan, stylist and editorial director for Mane Addictsthis fun look stays secure no matter the workout, whether it's yoga, Pilates, or barre. Best of all, it takes less than two minutes to create!

Watch the how-to video above and read the step-by-step instructions. Take notes, ladies - you'll soon be rocking a chic new 'do that you'll even want to wear after you're done at the gym.

Step 1: Gather hair into a low ponytail and secure with a hair elastic.

Step 2: Create a very loose regular three-strand braid only partially down the hair, then secure with another hair elastic.

Step 3: Tug on either side of the braid to loosen it up.

Step 4: Split hair down the middle and loop the pony through.

Step 5: Tug on the ponytail so it is pulled tightly through; then use your fingers to pinch and pull on the outer edges of the braid to loosen it.
