Watch Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe’s White House Performances
The highlight of this post should be the incredible performances of both Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe, but in actuality, the star shining brightest is Mr. Barack Obama: US President, Commander-in-Chief, Embarrassing Dad. At last night's "A Fourth of July Celebration at The White House," both artists performed live in honor of the president's last Independence Day in office, but the real prize moment came when Obama took to the mic for an impromptu singing of "Happy Birthday" to his daughter Malia, who was also celebrating her 18th birthday. Both Lamar and Monáe (along with the crowd) joined in to sing best wishes to the teen before she walked on stage to give her pops a big ol' hug.
Barack Obama. Just bein' a dad.
